I’m in a Band! I’m in a Band!!
No, I am not in a band. But I am a creative person from Maine with not nearly enough time. After receiving my undergraduate degree from Clark University, I was invited to the Roger Ebert Fellowship for Film Criticism at Sundance, where I got my foot in the film world. After moving to Los Angeles for my MA in Cinema + Media Studies from the University of Southern California, I continued to work in and around the film industry, primarily as a critic, though I also have experience working in subtitles, makeup, and sound design. My newest film project is in the works, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
In my current library work, I develop unique opportunities for my community to connect with themselves and one another through public programming, including my own monthly Film School screenings and discussions. You may keep up with all my library’s events on their website.
As a writer, I have switched gears from nonfiction to poetry. I have written in partnership with indie perfume houses like Arcana Wildcraft and Imaginary Authors, and hope to do more soon. In spring 2026, I taught a workshop in collaboration with the Rainbow Arts Collective entitled “Fragments: Playing With Collage and Poetry.” In the Portland area, I often bring my typewriter and tarot decks to craft fairs, literary events, and private parties for on-the-spot personal pieces. You can track my events as a live typewriter poet on instagram at @FoolishSnowFairy. To book your personal poetry portrait session, message me there or at perfumepoems@gmail.com.
